“AVENUE OF PORTRAITS”

What makes up the people of Britain? Visit the Avenue of Portraits to find the beginning of a series of portraits that will evolve throughout the Festival of Britain celebrations. The Avenue includes photographs, plates, poetry, new artwork and
interesting residents, including portraiture artist Lady Lucy. Each item tells a different story of part of the Festival of Britain family, from The Elders, an outdoor audiovisual installation produced by B3 Media, which pays tribute to the first wave of African Caribbean settlers to arrive in Britain in the early 1950s, to Love Plates celebrating Britain in love.Find the Avenue of Portraits at ground level in between Royal Festival Hall and Queen Elizabeth Hall and the Hayward Gallery. It features:
